Armstrong, Valerie Claire (Val). Died peacefully at Wanganui Hospital on 20 July 2026 after a short illness. Aged 85. Dearly loved sister of the late Brian, the late John, and Rosemary Hicks. Much loved aunt of Katherine, John, Nicola and Phillip; Kristine, Penny and Roger; Christopher, David, Robyn, Karen and the late Philippa. A dear friend to Alma, and many others. Nurse extraordinaire for many years at Wanganui Hospital and Nazareth Rest Home.

A service for Val will be held in the Cleveland Chapel, 179 Ingestre Street, Wanganui on Monday 27 July at 2pm, followed by private cremation. Vals service will be livestreamed on www.clevelandfunerals.co.nz
