IT saddens me to let you know that Frederika Catharina (Riekie) DYKSTRA passed away on July 7th 2026. My mother was a deeply religious woman with a strong sense of responsibility who held traditional values in high regard. It breaks my heart that my brother chose to have her cremated on July 9th without anyone else present. In my opinion, she deserved a more respectful farewell. A private memorial service will be held on August 1st at 11:00 a.m. If you wish to attend the service, please contact Laura at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Whanganui. A livestream of the service will also be available. The interment of her ashes will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Aramoho Cemetery and will be open to the public.
