KAYE, Bernard James (Bernie). Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, 6 August 2026 at Princess Alexandra Village, aged 88 years, after he had been convinced that the job was completed. Retired engineer, dearly loved husband, brother, father and most importantly, Isabella's loving Grandad. With thanks to the Princess Alexandra staff for their dedicated care and attention in Bernie's final months.

A celebration of Bernie's life will be held in the Beth Shan Chapel, 157 Georges Drive, Napier on Wednesday, 12 August at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation.
