Peacefully in the wonderful care of South Canterbury Hospice, surrounded by her loving family, on May 22, 2026, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Pat; most loving mother and mother-in-law of Simon and Tracey, Gabrielle, Francesca, Rachel Mills, and Con and Debbie; loved Gran of Brittney and Hamish Bowie; Sophie and Craig Gosney, Julian and Jana Tinkler, and Michael McLoughlin; Nicholas Mills, Honor and CJ Millar, and Burns Mills; and Olivia, Sarah, Thomas and Rachel Waldron; and loved great-Gran of Finn, Mila, Quinn, Lottie, Jesiah-Jae, William, Archer and Navy. Loved sister and sister-in-law of John (dec), Peter (dec) and Catherine (dec), and Gabriel and Brian Anderson (dec); and sister-in-law of the extended Waldron family. A most beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews, and a special "Gran" to so many. A Mass for Zita will be held in St Thomas' Church, 12 Mountain View Rd, Timaru, on Wednesday, May 27, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Timaru Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at the church on Tuesday, May 26, at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to South Canterbury Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
