Passed away peacefully at Burwood Hospital, Christchurch, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, aged 93 years. Dedicated husband of Margaret for 70 years, and brother of Graham. Hardworking father of Paul, Tony and Jan, and father-in-law to Helen and Jo. Beloved Poppa to Emily, Hamish, Samara and James, and Grandpoppa to George, Amos, Ted, Nina and Millie. Enthusiastic golfer for over 50 years and born-again builder (Mr Fix-It for all Paul's mates). Life Member of ChCh Rugby League Club (1962). Founding member of Ferrymead Lions Club (1977) and subsequent long-serving member of Birkenhead Lions. Inaugural member of North Harbour Rugby Supporters Club. Many thanks to staff in Ward C1 at Burwood Hospital for their dedication and care of Win in his sunset days. As Win had requested, a private cremation has been held.
