On Sunday, September 6, 2026, Bill finally ran out of stories to tell - or at least that's what we're hoping, because knowing Bill, he probably found someone new up there to yarn to. Loved husband of the late Christine, beloved father of Serena and Nick, Dale and Lauretta, and brother of Mary Clare and Kerry (Aus). Cherished Grandad Ga to Scarlett, Tori and Indie, and Grandad Bill to Daisy. Loved friend to Emma and loved Uncle Bill to all his nieces and nephews. Best friend to Tai and a great mate to many. A life lived doing what he loved on his terms. Heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in Dad's care: Dr Jason Kingan, SC Palliative Care team, RDNS and District Nursing.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at the Timaru Crematorium on Tuesday, September 15 at 11.00am until 12.30pm, followed by food, drinks and many stories at his home. Out of respect for other families and their loved ones, we ask attendees of the service to please adhere to the times given.
