Professor of Biochemistry, Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Gothenburg. Richard passed away suddenly, without warning at home in Sweden on April 28, 2026. Aged 56 years. Beloved son of Jennifer and Donald, husband of Helena, bother of Nicola, Philip and Annette, and father of Hannes and Linn. Much loved supervisor and mentor of many PhD students. Sadly missed. Richard's funeral and memorial service took place in Gothenburg on Friday, June 12. NZ-based memorial service to be notified later.
