(D.Sc) On Sunday, August 16, 2026, peacefully, aged 96 years. Much loved partner of the late Christine Morris, loved father and father-in-law of Celia and Chris, Bridget and Richard, Brian and Maryrose, Hugh and Liz, Peter and Linh. Loved Grandad and Great-Grandad of his 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Peter Fitzgerald, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Society would be appreciated, and may be made online at cancer.org.nz.

A memorial service to celebrate Peter's life will be held at Oaklands, corner Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Sunday, August 23, at 11.00am.
