Leon ZILINSKAS

Passed unexpectedly on September 8, 2026, at home, aged 69 years. Much-loved husband of Lynette, father of Andy, Jessie and Ben, Zac and Sammy, grandfather of Kaea and TJ, brother to Sharmayne, Marina, Judy, Jimmy, Veronica, and the late Zelma, friend and a larger-than-life character to many. Leon was a devoted family man, successful business owner, passionate golfer, and familiar face around Rawhiti Golf Club where he proudly served in past years as President. Leon leaves behind a lifetime of memories and stories, he was a self-proclaimed champion card player, gifted with numbers and blessed with plenty of confidence in his own abilities, he was fiercely independent, loyal, and never short of an opinion.
