On Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Ashburton Hospital, after a short illness. Loved husband and soul mate of Valmae. Much loved Dad of Craig and Jade, Darin and Alda, Brendon, and Mark and Toni. Dearly loved Pop of Cole, Millie, Eva, Aiden, Caleb, Hannah, Andrew, and Dean (deceased).

A celebration of John's very full life will be held at St Stephen's Church, 60 Park Street, Ashburton on Thursday, July 2, commencing at 1.30pm followed by private cremation.
