Passed away peacefully at 1.30am on Friday, June 12, 2026, in Christchurch after a short and unexpected illness. Beloved wife of Rod, beloved sister-in-law to Peter and Marilyn, Stuart and Sally. Also, a special Aunt and Great-Aunt (Nana Ann) and to overseas family. Ann was also cherished by colleagues and friends. Ann will be remembered as the monarch of our family. She was a beautiful, gracious, humble, selfless, kind, intelligent and graceful lady. Her quiet way, steadfastness, gentleness and great love for others will be greatly missed. Ann is forever in our hearts. Special thanks to all the staff at Christchurch Hospital and George Manning for the wonderful care shown to Ann in the final weeks of her life. Messages can be addressed to the family of the late Ann Hay, c/- Hope Funerals Christchurch, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby, Christchurch 8042. A private family celebration service and cremation will be held in accordance with Ann's wishes.
