On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Ngaio Marsh, after a brief illness, aged 100. Daughter of Aileen and Geoffrey Wood (both deceased), sister of Diana, and Jennifer. Wife of the late Norman Lindsay Macbeth; mother and mother-in-law of Lindsay and Laurence, Andrew and Sandra, and Hamish and Margaret (deceased). Grandmother of James and Geordie; Heather, Dougal and Finlay; and Leila, Malcolm, Amiria and Willis. Super Granny to Kaeden, Ava and Maia; Akuhata and Keita; Anneke; Molly and Mabel; Max and George; and Irene. Thanks to Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village for their exceptional and loving care of Marion.
