On August 22, 2026, at Timaru Hospital, in his 102nd year. Late of Timaru, Dunedin and Invercargill. Dearly loved son of the late Bert and Vera Hey (Timaru and Mosgiel). Loved brother of Rosa, Phillip, Louise, and John (all deceased), and loved brother-in-law of Jan Maxwell-Hey (Timaru). Admired and respected uncle and great-uncle of Lynley Simmons and Jeremy; and Kathryn Ryan, Katy, Timothy and Matthew. Also uncle of his other nieces and nephews in New Zealand and Australia. A private family service has been held. Special thanks to the ED Staff, Timaru Hospital and Glenwood Home.
