Passed away peacefully on Monday, 22 June 2026, aged 88. Dearly loved wife of the late Noel. Much loved mother of Anne, Margaret, and Fiona; mother-in-law of Lance and Bruce. Loved nana of Mel, Tom, Alannah, Bryce, Tayla, Brendon, and Josh. Great-grandnana of Cohen, Mia, Carson, Wolfe, George, Hayden, and a little one to come.

Jean and Noel reunited again.

A service for Jean will be held at Trinity St Paul's Union Parish of Cambridge, 43 Queen Street, Cambridge, on Friday, 26 June 2026 at 11.00am, followed by the interment at Piako Cemetery, Morrinsville. Messages to the Prouting family may be posted C/- PO Box 5523, Frankton, Hamilton 3242.
