On 14 June 2026, peacefully at Te Awamutu; aged 76 years. Loved partner of Sheryl, and father & father-in-law of Melanie & Mark, and Dean. A loved grandfather of many, and also loved by Zane & Emma, Carl & Selena, and Benjamin. Des will be at his home until his service on Friday.

A celebration of Des' life will be held in the Alexandra House Chapel, 570 Alexandra Street, Te Awamutu on Friday, 19 June 2026, at 10.30am, followed by burial at Pirongia.
