Charles SUNNEX

15 September 1950 – 18 June 2026

With heavy but grateful hearts, we share that our beloved father and grandfather, Chislom Charles Heke Sunnex, passed away on Thursday, 18 June 2026 in Hamilton. He is now reunited with his soulmate and eternal companion Naumai Priscilla Sunnex.

Charles leaves behind a rich legacy through his six children – Eliza, Hyrum, Emmeline, Willard, Lorenzo, and Moroni, and his many grandchildren. His life was defined by his profound faith in the Saviour Jesus Christ, his unwavering missionary service, and his tireless devotion to the Jaradites Rugby & League Club. His memory lives on in every story told, every deep conversation, and every spontaneous act of kindness he offered so freely. His funeral will be held at 11.00am on Monday, 22 June 2026 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 13/15 Oneill Street, Claudelands, Hamilton. A memorial service will also be held at 5.00pm on Sunday 21 June at the same location. Charles will be interred at the Hamilton Park Cemetery, Newstead.
