Peacefully in Auckland on 28 September 2026, surrounded by love. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Chris & Mel, Andrew (dec), Sean & Catherine, and Katrina & Steve. Friend of Liz and Peter. Dearly loved nana and great-grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Taranaki are gratefully accepted.

A service to celebrate Valerie's life will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 90 Miranda Street, Stratford, on Monday 5 October 2026 at 11.00am, followed by her burial at Kopuatama Cemetery.
