It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rex on Monday 24 August 2026. Rex died surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of Edna, loved father and father-in-law of Vanessa and Peter, Dean and Belinda, Alistair, Anita and Darryn. Loved Grandad of his 8 grandchildren and his great-granddaughter.

A service to celebrate Rex's life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 46 Watson Street, New Plymouth, on Thursday 27 August 2026 at 2.00pm. For those unable to attend, Rex's funeral will be livestreamed via his tribute page.
