John COOK

We are broken hearted to share that on Saturday, 30th May, 2026, our treasured John passed away peacefully in the arms of family and with the beautiful care of the team at Molly Ryan Lifecare. Devoted and beloved husband of Joan (dec) for 61 years. Treasured Dad of Shelley and Ian, Heather and Paul, Bryce and Lisa and Alistair and Debbie. John was a fun and much loved Poppa to Kaisey, Holly, Bonnie, Fern and Monique. And Pop Pop to Thea and Freya. Much loved family of the Mathesons (Auckland), Cooks (Stratford) and Waites (Taranaki). Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. All messages to the Cook family can be sent to c/- PO Box 218 Stratford, 4352. A celebration of John's life will be held at 10.30am on Saturday, 6th June 2026, at Brooklands Church, 21 Bideford Street, New Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the New Plymouth Stroke support Trust would be very much appreciated and may be left at the service.
