After a short illness John passed away at Taranaki Base Hospital on Friday 21st August 2026, aged 81 years. Loved husband, best friend, and soul mate for 58 ½ years of Francie. Much loved dad of Aaron and Kristiann, Justin (Dusty) and Suzanne. Dearly loved Poppa John of Jacob, Caleb and Livvy, Noah; Sophia, and Emme, and great Poppa John of Hudson. Family and friends are invited to gather, remember and raise a glass for John at Tairoa Lodge, 3 Puawai Street Hawera on Wednesday 26th August 2026, commencing at 2.00pm (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF TIME).
