Peacefully at home on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, aged 74. Cherished and hard-working wife of Malcolm. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Kerri & Bruce, and Lara & George. Stepmother to Helena & Daryn, Julie, and Nathan and Michelle. Much loved and adored Nana of Jack, Alex, Arlo & Emma, Luke, Nico. Loved Nana Irene of Elly, and Amelia.

A memorial service to celebrate Irene's life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 46 Watson Street, New Plymouth on Monday, 13 July 2026, at 2pm.
