Passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, 28 July 2026, aged 78, with his children Rane and Kacia by his side. Dearly loved husband of Shirley. Much-loved father of Rane (and Jo) and Kacia (and Aaron), and adored grandfather of Euan. Only child of the late Jean and Norman Bowen. Born at Stratford Hospital in 1947 and raised in New Plymouth by Jean and Norman Bowen, Gary was a Spotswood College boy. He was a keen hunter with a lifelong interest in firearms, a devoted Creedence Clearwater Revival man, and - as anyone who visited will tell you - thoroughly owned by his cats. Messages may be left online at wabraham.co.nz/notices or posted to the Bowen family, C/- PO Box 4016, New Plymouth 4340. Gary's life will be celebrated at The Chapel of W. Abraham, 366 Devon St East, New Plymouth, on Tuesday, 4 August 2026, at 2.00pm.
