Brian SMITH

Born in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Melbournian for the last (almost!) 40 years. Much beloved husband and soulmate of Jenny for over 62 years. Dearly loved father of Stephen, Roxanne, Rebecca and Rachel, and much respected father-in-law to Samantha, Darren, Adam and Brett. Proud Grandad of thirteen, and great-grandad of four. Adored by all. Brian lived a big life. From humble beginnings as a customs officer in New Plymouth, to policeman, then ultimately to leading a global company as CEO. His success was entirely his own making, built across New Zealand, Australia and Europe. He loved his travel, his golf and the occasional whisky or wine. Brian was a handyman extraordinaire, a great teller of stories, dad jokes, advice giver, always supportive, and great singer of happy birthday. In the end, family was everything. We will miss him and love him forever. Private family cremation held, as per Brian's wishes.
