Alan passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 4th 2026, at Chalmers Rest Home, New Plymouth, after a short illness, aged 97 years. Devoted husband of Beryl for 72 years. Loved father of Jennifer and Ray, Murray and Alison, Denise and Dennis. Special grandad to Melanie and Danny, Dylan, Sarah, Justin, Courtney, Matthew and Jess. Great-grandad to Alani, Jaxon, Coby, Leo and Eloise.

Great-great-grandad to Arla. Youngest son of the late Jake and Ida Sulzberger. A service for Alan will be held at The Mary Alice Chapel, 119 Regan Street, Stratford, on Saturday, August 8th 2026, at 11am, followed by a private burial.
