Born in Quarry Hills, formerly of Te Anau, and latterly of Christchurch. On August 10, 2026, suddenly at home, aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband of Evelinda. Loved father and father-in-law of Scott and Janneth, and Melanie and Craig Butson. Treasured Grandad of his adored granddaughters, Caitlin and Sophie, and of the late Jack and Sam. Son of the late Jack and Dorothy Caldwell, and brother of Alan, David, Roger, and Ross. Messages for the Caldwell Family may be sent c/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148.

A celebration of William's life will be held at the Harewood (Crematorium) Chapel, Wilkinsons Road, Christchurch, on Monday, August 17, at 1.00pm.
