Peacefully with her family nearby, at Parata Rest Home, Gore on Saturday, August 29 2026, aged 92 years. Loved daughter of *Bruce and *Laura, loved sister and sister-in-law of *Joan and *Bill Overhill (Tokoroa), Linda and Bruce Kempthorne (Te Anau), and much loved and admired by her wider family.

"Devoted to her Nursing profession."

As per Shona's wishes, a private cremation has taken place, with a graveside memorial service to be held at Glenmark Cemetery, Waipara at a later date. Huge thank-you to all the Parata staff who have cared for Shona so kindly over the last few years. Messages to: PO Box 259, Te Anau 9640.
