Of Riverton, and peacefully, while briefly in their care at Hospice Southland, Invercargill, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, aged 79.

Loved long time partner of Mary-Ann TeWhenua. Much loved dad and dad-in-law of Dallas Templeton and Brie Cornwell. A special stepdad of Janelle TeWhenua-Bradley, Stephen TeWhenua and Karen TeWhenua, and a very special Grandad PT and Great-Grandad. Also a loved brother, cousin, uncle, and a great friend and cobber to many. In accordance with Pete's wishes a private service and cremation with close family has been held.
