It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Kath (aged 98 years) on Thursday, August 20, 2026, surrounded by family at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, Invercargill. Dearly loved and adored wife of the late Bruce. Much loved and respected Mum and mother-in-law of Alisdair and Jean, Hamish, Donald and Dianne. Special 'Kath' of the late Catherine and the late Angela.

Loved 'Ma' of Kathleen, Clint, Deidre, Campbell and Jowie, Janee and Zac, David and Heidi, Rachael and Rory, Andrew and Tracey. Great 'Ma' of Kaynen, Logan, Joshua, Fyfe, Monty,Mila, Adaline and Summer, Jack, Charlie, Maeve, the late Frida, Lola and Ollie. Great-Great 'Ma' of Ava-Rei. Loved daughter of the late Huia and Jessie Shand (Taieri, Otago). In accordance with Kath's wishes, a private cremation has been held. Alisdair, Hamish and Donald would like to sincerely thank the caregivers at Rowena Jackson for their care and compassion towards Kath during her stay.
