British Army of Rhine, BAOR. Passed away peacefully at Dunstan Hospital, Clyde, on Thursday, September 17, 2026, aged 95 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Audrey, much loved father and father-in-law of Gay, Ele and Derek, Gwen, David, Vi-Anne (Bubs) and Michael, Bonny and Mark, Jackie, Nicky and Joe, Mandy and Kerrin, cherished Grandad of his 20 grandchildren, and great-Grandad of his 27.5 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate John's life will be held in Twizel Community Church, 52 Mackenzie Drive, Twizel, on Tuesday, September 22, at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Twizel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be left at the service for St John, Alexandra. Messages to 26 Blackmore Crescent, Alexandra 9320.
