On September 12, 2026 at Rosebank Lifecare, Ashburton. Peacefully, aged 91. Dearly loved wife of the late Alan. Loved mother and mother-in-law of William (Auckland), and Wendy and Phillip Thornton (Te Awamutu). Loved grandmother of Jason, and Jasmine, and the late Kristy and loved great-grandmother of Talia, and Kacela. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Shirley and the late Russell Erskine (Invercargill), and Stewart and Robin Bennett (Ashburton). Grateful thanks to Rosebank Lifecare for their wonderful support.

A service to celebrate Joan's life will be held at Our Chapel, corner East and Cox Streets, Ashburton on Friday, September 18, commencing at 10.00am, followed by interment at the Ashburton New Lawn Cemetery.
