On Sunday, August 2, 2026, at home, 56 Stobo Street, peacefully with her family and dogs. Loved and treasured wife of 51 years to (Rusty) Henry Johnson. Fierce protector Mum and Mummy to Kane and Todd, Raiha and Rebekah. Adored Nanny and Nan to Monique, Taila, Shakyla, Ngakau, Mahae and Kyson. Treasured Great-Nanny Jan to Anashia, Koda and Kalilah. Granddaughter of the late George Wilson, Daughter of the late Neville Eric Dawson (JP) and Joyce Nichol Wilson. Younger sister and sister-in-law of Sandra and the late John Mckenzie (JP) (Otautau), and older sister of Grant and Jude Dawson (Tauranga). Treasured Aunty Jan to her nieces and nephews Sarah, Scott, Hannah, Logan, Emma and Graham, Kris and Luke and families. Loyal lover, Loyal friend, Loved by all till her end.

A service to celebrate Jan's life will be held in the Wallacetown Community Centre, 57 Dunlop Street, Wallacetown, on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 11.00am, and then followed by a burial at the Riverton Cemetery.
