Passed away peacefully in the care of Wyndham Rest Home, on Friday, August 7, 2026; aged 76 years. Loved son of the late George and Mary (Molly) Murphy. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Colleen (Whangerei), Shona and Lou (Nelson), Maureen and John (Whangarei), Michael (Levin), Therese and Roger (Dunedin), and Terry and Christine (Whangarei), and loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Gerard's life will be held in the St Joseph's Catholic Church, 41 Melbourne Street, Queenstown, on Friday, August 14 at 12.30pm, interment to follow at the Queenstown Cemetery.
