Passed away peacefully in Greymouth, on August 15, 2026, aged 90. Dearly loved wife of the late John, much loved mother and mother-in-law of David and Nancy, Peter and Denise, Anne, Lisa and Mark, and the late John, Russell, and Valerie, cherished daughter of the late Joe and Mary Pilgrim, a loved grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, sister, sister-in-law, aunty, cousin and friend.

A Service to celebrate Muriel's life will be held in the William Sampson Memorial Chapel, 134 Tainui Street, Greymouth, on Thursday at 2.00pm, followed by cremation here on the Coast at the Westland Crematorium.
