Peacefully at Oamaru Hospital (comforted by family) on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Aged 81. Loved wife of the late John Maxwell. Loving mother, mother-in-law, and proud grandma/mema of Tony, Kevin, Bradley, Tara, Toby (Singapore), Trevor and Carol, Tina, Kane, Anne-Marie*, Nakita (Sydney), Kiri and Mark, Jacob and Isaac Yeates (Oamaru). Loved aunty to her many nieces and nephews. A service for Betty will be held at the Waiau Town and Country Club, King Street, Tuatapere on Tuesday, July 7 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. Messages to the Maxwell family C/- 262 Springfield Road, RD7D, Totara, Oamaru.
