Died peacefully at Kew Hospital Invercargill on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Dearly loved wife of the late Gerard. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Bridget and Gavin (UK), Elizabeth and Chris Atkinson (partner, Invercargill), Michael (Australia), Paul and Catharine (UK), Simon and Julie (Christchurch), and Matt and Viv (Christchurch). Much loved Nana of Thomas Preddy and Maddie Green (partner), and Michael Preddy and Brianna Dixon (partner), Emma and Sophie Thompson, Ruben and Anya Thompson-Runswick, and loved great-nana of Arthur and Milla Preddy. Friend of John Preddy. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Sister Mary Elizabeth OP*, Tom* and Eileen Mackie (Australia), Patricia* and Bob Richards (Canada), and John and Mary Jo Mackie (Canada). Service and Requiem Mass will be held at St Theresa's Church, 40 Perth Street, Invercargill, on Wednesday, July 22 at 10.30am. Burial to be held at Alexandra Cemetery, 54 Ngapara Street, Alexandra, Central Otago, on Thursday, July 23 at 1.00pm. Anne and her family wish to express their grateful thanks to the district nurses, healthcare workers, doctors and nurses of Southland, Dunedin and Dunstan Hospitals for their dedicated care and support.
