Penelope BARLOW

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Monday, 13 July 2026, aged 80 years. Dearly loved and devoted wife of Brian. Much-loved mother of Kate, Richard and Charlotte, and mother-in-law of Mike. Cherished Granny of Eva, Zoe, Hudson, Saxon and Gus. Adored cousin and honorary sister of John Long and dearly loved by his family. Penny's warmth, kindness and loving care touched many lives, and we will always be grateful for the love she gave so freely. She will be missed beyond words and held forever in our hearts. All messages to the Barlow family, c/- 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North 4414. A vigil for Penny will be held at the family home on Thursday, 16 July, at 5.30pm. A Requiem Mass for Penny will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, 197 Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North, on Friday, 17 July 2026, at 1.30pm, followed by a private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the wonderful team at Arohanui Hospice.
