Passed away peacefully at Whanganui Hospital on Friday 11th September 2026, aged 85 years. Dearly loved and cherished husband of Deana. Loved father of Tony, Steve, and Nick. Dearly loved father-in-law to Joanna and Grandad to Kate and Jack. Beloved "Popeye" to Deana"s children, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. All messages to the Scarbrough family, c/- 11 Meyer Cresent, Marton 4710. According to John's wishes a private cremation will take place.

A memorial service for John will be held at Marton Friendship Club Hall on Thursday 24th September at 2.00pm.
