Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Sunday 28 June 2026, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of Sheryl. Beloved father of Thornton, Jane, and Paul (dec). Treasured Grandad of Lilly, James and William. Loved brother of Alison and Trevor (dec). All messages to the Merwood family, c/- 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Milson, Palmerston North 4414. According to John's wishes a private interment at North Shore Memorial Park will take place at a later date.
