Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday 25 July 2026, aged 94 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Shirley. Treasured father and father-in-law of Christine, Jenny & Steve, Peter & Sue, and Michael. Cherished Grandad of Josh & Natalie, Jamie & Grant, Sam & Gareth, Sarah & Jason, Amy & Matt, Shaun & Taryn, Wendy & Thomas, and Karl. Great-Grandad of 10. All messages to the Thompson family, c/- 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North 4414. In accordance with Wally's wishes, a private cremation has been held and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
