Bin passed away peacefully at Lady Wigram Retirement Village on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, aged 92 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late John (JK) with whom Bin shared 70 very happy years. Much loved mother of Ginny, Caroline (dec) and Simon and loved mother-in-law of Graham, Bruce and Lynley. The most loved and special Binny of Josie, and Meg; Anna, Libby, and Sally. Loved daughter of Kathleen and Christopher Hosking (both dec), "Tinline Downs", Waiau. Loved sister of John (dec), and Jenifer. Thank you to the staff of Lady Wigram for their care of Bin over the past three years.

A private cremation has been held and a memorial service will follow at a later date.
