He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Judith (Don Mackenzie) and Alistair (Glenis Hill); his nieces and nephews, Anne, Stephen, Nicky, Jeroen, Tom, Kasia, Sue, Matt, Julie, Keith, David, Imelda, Katie and Bruce; and his great-uncles, Peter, Alan Viles, Rowan Carey (Amy), Arthur Viles, Koen, Kaia, Talia Mackenzie Erkens (Emilia), Antoni Mackenzie, Fletcher (Madeleine Pettersson) and Sam Hill (Clara).

A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St Barnabas Anglican Church (8 Tui Street, Fendalton, Christchurch 8041, New Zealand).
