Died peacefully at Arvida Ilam Lifecare on September 8, 2026, in her 88th year. Dearly beloved wife (for 65 years) and lifelong companion of Rod; Loved mother and mother-in-law of Catherine and Matt, Adrienne and Pete, Alastair and Helen; and grandmother of Holly, Elliot, Maddie, Lauren, Charlotte, Leah, Hayden, Kieran, Joel and Zoe. Respected tutor and friend of many ESOL students over the years and founder of the ESL New Zealand News website. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Arvida Ilam for the companionship, care and support of Pat over the last years of her life. In accordance with Pat's wishes, a private cremation has been held.
