On Monday, July 27, 2026 at Oakwoods Rest Home, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Jean for 62 years. Much loved dad and father-in-law of Catherine and Gareth, Jeanette and Debbie, Murray and Nic, Joanne and Adam. Cherished Grandad Merv of Ben and Justina, Katie, Matt and Jiwoo, Ryan and Jess, Abigail and Will, Dylan and Gillian, and a loved Great-Grandad Merv of Sol, and a faithful friend to many. The family will farewell Merv in a private ceremony, but extend an open invitation to join with them at 4 Starveall Street, Brightwater, on Saturday, August 8, between 12noon and 3pm to further share memories of Merv.
