It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Leon, after a brief illness, on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Dunstan Hospital, Clyde. Dearly loved husband of Rosemary, and loved and respected father and father-in-law of Leaanne and Andrew; Bevan and Kim; Michelle and Gerald, and the late Grant; Pip and Michael; Mat and Bec; and the late David. Much loved and very proud grandfather of Annie, Libby, and Tom; Mia, Cam and Julliette; Lucy, and Scarlett; Harry, Maddie, and Ollie; Ben, Molly, and Gracie; and great-grandfather of Ella. A loved brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Rest in peace. Our sincere thanks to the medical and nursing staff at Dunstan Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Leon and his family. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Leon's life will be held at the Sacred Heart Basilica, 7 Craigie Avenue, Timaru, on Friday, October 9 at 10.00am, followed by a celebration of Leon's life of service at Fraser Park Pavillion, and a private interment later in the day at the Albury Cemetery.
