On July 14, 2026, our beautiful Kim slipped peacefully from this world as the sun set over her home in Shelly Beach, Queensland. Deeply loved wife of Mark Bachels and cherished mother of Zach and Sofia. Much loved daughter of Denise and Tony Morland, treasured sister of Tracy Mannering, sister-in-law of Greg, and adored aunty of Charlie and Will. Kim created a colourful canvas as an adventurer, artist, ecologist, nature lover, teacher and friend to so many. She lived her life with curiosity, passion, love and intention, and saw beauty and wonder in all things.

Though our hearts are broken, we are so very grateful for every moment we shared with her.

Kim's love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will remain with us always.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Hinewai Reserve (www.hinewai.org.nz) would be appreciated. A celebration of Kim's life we be held on Saturday,15 August at Shelly Beach, Sunshine Coast. Messages to tdmorland@xtra.co.nz
