On Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Christchurch Hospital, supported by those who loved him and whom he loved. Devoted and much-loved husband of Christine (nee Forrester). Only son of the late Owen and Nan Hope. Loved and respected brother and brother-in-law of Elizabeth (Betsy) Chapman and the late Nick Chapman. Jonathan was also a much-admired son-in-law of the late Albert Forrester, and highly respected by Christine's sisters Pauline (dec), Lorraine (Blenheim) and Margaret (dec) (Wellington). Only uncle of Christopher, Ginny, Richard (dec), and Christine's family Leroy, Vanessa, Regahn, Glen and Tim, and a great-uncle of Edward, Ella and Atticus. A private service has been held.
