Joan ADAMS

On July 9, 2026, unexpectedly but peacefully at home - the place that she loved, aged 88 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Lewis, much loved mother of John, Paul and Ann, Tony, and Maria, loved grandmother of Rachel, Ben, and Hayley, adored great-grandmother of Olivia, Eva, Aria, Hunter, and Cadence. Beloved sister of Sally Price, and the late Owen Stopforth. Loved daughter of the late Ron and Kath Stopforth.

The family would like to acknowledge all those who cared for Joan in her latter years, particularly Dr Paula Hanley for her outstanding medical care. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Joan Adams, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. Joan is now resting at home. Visitors are welcome from 1.00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Mary's Pro-Cathedral, 373 Manchester Street, on Thursday, July 16, at 10.30am, followed by burial at St Brigid's Churchyard, 232 Loburn Whiterock Road, Loburn, at 2.00pm. The Rosary Vigil will be held in St Mary's Pro-Cathedral on Wednesday, at 7.00pm.
