Died peacefully in Christchurch, on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Cherished wife of the late Gavin. Loved Mum of Isabel and Jamie. Doting Grandma to Crispin and Ferdinand. Beloved library lady to a generation of readers. Messages for the Hitchings family may be sent to 58 Coleridge Street, Sydenham, Christchurch 8023. In keeping with Jenny's wishes a private cremation has been held. There will be a memorial service in Nelson in the coming weeks – details to follow.
