On Saturday, August 1, 2026 at his home, aged 64 years. Much loved husband of Mary Foster, son of Shirley, brother to George and the late Heather and Donald, doggy Dad to Robbie and Annie.

A service for James will be held at Lady Goodfellow Chapel, Gate 1, Waikato University, Hillcrest, Hamilton, on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 12.00pm, followed by private cremation.
