On August 4, 2026, passed away peacefully at his home in Oxford, age 79 years. Loved husband of the late Sylvia. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Ryan, Gareth and Rachel, Frances and Peter. Adored Grandad of Frederick, Walter, and Molly; Grace, Lily, and Myles. Loved brother of Dawn, Moira, Juliet, Brent, Gaye, and Debbie. Loving partner of Elaine.

A Service of Farewell for Gavin will be held in St John's Anglican Church 355 High Street, Rangiora, on Friday, August 14, at 11.00am.
